About this tour
This session focuses on the Royal Castle, its rebuilt facade, the column standing beside it, and the terrace overlooking the river. You see how the exterior was almost entirely reconstructed after the war, while the nearby column survived largely intact. It is a closer look at how differently two neighbouring structures fared through the same conflict.
We begin at the facade with a short sound check, then move to the column and finally the terrace, pausing at each to explain what changed and what did not. I take questions throughout and connect the details to the wider reconstruction story. A written list of the castle's history follows afterwards.
