About this tour
This session shows the Pula Arena as the light turns gold over the stone, moving from the tall outer arcade to the amphitheatre floor inside. You see the drainage channel still cut into the base of the wall and the underground passages that once moved performers into the ring. The Arena is one of the six largest Roman amphitheatres left standing anywhere, and this covers both its outside and in.
We start with a sound check facing the arcade, then move around and inside for the second stop, leaving time for questions about how the space is used today. I send a short list of names and dates afterwards for anything mentioned on the call.
It suits anyone who wants to properly understand the Arena before or instead of visiting in daylight crowds. It also works well for a second look at Pula for visitors who only had time to walk past it once.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Pula before heading out.
-
The outer arcade 21 min
The camera moves along the Arena's outer wall, its arches still standing to their full height, and I point out the drainage channel cut into the stone at the base.
-
Inside the amphitheatre 21 min
We step inside to where the underground passages once moved animals and performers, and I explain how the same floor now hosts concerts and the summer film festival.
-
Your questions 9 min
Time to ask anything about Pula: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Istrian truffles and Stari Grad, worth a slower look.
Good to know

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
