About this tour
This session shows Playa de la Caleta at sunset, the small beach framed by two forts on the western edge of the old town. You see the old bathhouse pier stretching out over the water and the light shifting across the sand as the sun drops. It is a short, calm session built entirely around the evening light.
We start looking along the beach with a quick check of the light, then move toward the pier for the closing minutes, keeping the talking light throughout. I answer questions about the two forts and the beach's film history as they come up.
This suits travellers who want a calm, view-led session after a day of denser history, and anyone who enjoys watching the sky change colour. It works only in the evening, timed to the sunset itself.

The beach between two forts 15 min
The camera looks along the small crescent of Playa de la Caleta, framed by Castillo de Santa Catalina on one side and Castillo de San Sebastián on the other, both catching the last light.

You see the balnearium pier stretching into the water, built as a bathhouse over a century ago, and I explain how the beach once doubled as a film set standing in for a city abroad.

A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Tortillitas de camarones and La Viña, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
