Sant Pere, a quarter built for mills
Highlights
- Lanes laid out for old textile mills

- A working district's quieter streets
- Industrial Barcelona, away from the postcards
- Sant Pere's mill-town layout, explained
About this tour
This walk covers Sant Pere, a district shaped by the textile trade that once filled its narrow lanes. You see how the streets were laid out around old mills and workshops, and a few surviving doorways still carrying their original ironwork. It is a quieter, working counterpart to the grander streets nearby.
I move through the lanes at a steady pace, pointing out the ironwork and layout as we go, and take your questions on the trade's history throughout. Afterwards I send a short note on what we saw.
This suits anyone interested in Barcelona's industrial past rather than only its grand facades. It also pairs well with a session on Hospital de Sant Pau nearby.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
