  • A gallery most visitors rush past

About this tour

This session climbs the castle's painted tower and finishes on its open gallery, looking down over the river's tight bend around the old town. You see the stairs rising through several centuries of construction, then the full view once we reach the top. It is a shorter session built around a single, clear destination.

I keep a steady pace on the climb, since the stairs are the main event before the view itself. Questions come naturally once we reach the gallery and stop moving. A short note on the best time of day for the light follows by message afterwards.

This suits anyone who wants a clear, single view over the whole town rather than a longer walk. It also works well as a short add-on to a longer castle session.

Included

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Cesky Krumlov before heading out.

  2. Climbing the tower 21 min

The camera follows the stairs up through the tower, and I explain how the structure grew in stages over several centuries.

  3. The tower gallery 21 min

We reach the open gallery at the top, and I turn the camera out over the river's bend so you see the whole old town laid out below.

  4. Your questions 9 min

Time to ask anything about Cesky Krumlov: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 4 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Svíčková (marinated beef in cream sauce) and Latrán, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Prague time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
