Planning your Athens taverna crawl
Highlights
- A taverna route built around your taste
- Local order of starters to grilled dishes
- Timing worked out stop by stop
- A written list to follow that evening
- Local knowledge before you book a table
About this tour
This is a planning call rather than a live walk, built for travellers who want a taverna route worked out before they land. Nikos talks through the kind of evening you want, from a quick two stop dinner to a longer crawl across several neighbourhoods. He draws on years of eating his way through Athens to suggest a route that matches your pace and appetite.
The call opens with questions about your taste and schedule, then Nikos checks timing and distance between the places he suggests. He explains why he orders the stops the way he does and adjusts on the spot if something does not suit you. You leave with a written route and a short note on what to order at each stop.
This suits independent travellers who prefer to eat on their own schedule but want a local's route rather than guesswork. It also helps anyone nervous about ordering in a taverna for the first time.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
