Palma's old town, courtyard by courtyard
Highlights
- A patio door left open
- The old town hall's curved corner
- Centuries-old stone up close
- Quiet lanes away from the crowds
- Details most visitors walk past
About this tour
This session moves through Palma's old town, from the quiet lane of Carrer de Sant Miquel to the open square at Plaça de Cort. You see stone houses with doors left ajar onto hidden patios and the curved corner of the old town hall. Along the way I point out details that are easy to miss on a first pass through the same streets.
The call opens with a short chat about what you want to see, then I start walking and keep the phone at eye level the whole time. We pause at each stop for as long as your questions take rather than on a fixed clock. Near the end I send over a short list of the doors and corners worth another look.
This suits anyone who wants to see the old town at a slower pace than a normal visit allows. It also works well if you are planning a trip and want a feel for the streets before you arrive.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included
- Internet connection
- Travel to the city
Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Palma de Mallorca before heading out.
-
Carrer de Sant Miquel 21 min
You walk a narrow lane of pale stone houses where tall doorways open onto private courtyards. I stop at one gate left ajar and show you the tiled patio inside, the kind that stays hidden behind a shut door most of the year.
-
Plaça de Cort 21 min
The square opens around the old town hall and its ancient olive tree. I explain why the building fronts curve slightly instead of meeting at a straight corner, a trick that let carriages turn without touching the stone.
-
Your questions 9 min
Time to ask anything about Palma de Mallorca: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Arròs brut and Santa Catalina, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
