Sfogliatella and babà, a pastry counter call
Highlights
- Crisp and soft sfogliatella, compared directly
- What makes a babà properly soaked
- A conversation from behind the counter
- Local advice on where to find both well made
- A short, specific pastry primer
About this tour
This short call talks through Naples's two best-known pastries, sfogliatella and babà, from behind my own counter. I compare the crisp and soft versions of sfogliatella side by side and explain what makes a good babà properly soaked. It is a conversation about technique and taste rather than a filmed walk.
We talk over Google Meet while I work at the counter, answering questions on ingredients and method as they come up. Afterwards I send a short note on where to find both pastries made well nearby.
This suits anyone deciding what to try before a trip to a Neapolitan pastry shop. It also works well as a short add-on to a longer walking session.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
