Lazienki Park: palace on the water
Highlights
- A palace built on a park island
- Formal gardens meeting open woodland
- A deliberately designed landscape
- Warsaw's calmest green space
- The palace across still water
About this tour
This session shows Lazienki Park through the Palace on the Water and the pathways around it. You see the palace across its pond first, then the wider park, which mixes formal gardens with more natural woodland. It is a look at one of Warsaw's most deliberately designed green spaces.
We start across the water with a short sound check, then walk through the park so you can see the different planting styles. I explain the design choices as we go and take questions throughout. A short list of the park's features follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone wanting a calmer session away from the old town's streets. It also works well paired with the Chopin monument session for a fuller look at the park.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

The camera opens across the pond at the palace built on an island in the park, and I explain how the setting was designed deliberately rather than found by chance.

Good to know

- Times are shown in Warsaw time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
