Inside the Croissant Museum
Highlights
- A museum for one specific pastry
- How a croissant earned EU protection
- Layers of poppy seed filling, explained
- A demonstration table, not a bakery counter
- Poznan's best known pastry, explained properly
About this tour
This session visits the Croissant Museum, dedicated to Poznan's best known pastry, the St Martin's croissant. You see the small exhibition explaining its EU-protected status and a demonstration table showing the layered poppy seed filling that defines it. It stays inside one small, specific museum.
I start with a sound check near the entrance, then move through the exhibition before finishing at the demonstration table. Questions are welcome throughout, and I send a short note afterwards on where the tradition is protected by law.
This suits anyone curious about protected food traditions or Polish pastry specifically. It also pairs well with the call session for the baker's own perspective.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included
- Food and drinks shown on camera
- Travel to the city

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
