Miera iela's independent shops and studios
Highlights
- A street shifting character over a decade
- Independent shops, seen up close
- A working studio courtyard, explained
- A quieter side of the city
- A short, design-focused walk
About this tour
This session walks a street known for its independent shops and studios, away from the old town's crowds. You see a shopfront that captures how the street's character has shifted over the past decade, then a courtyard behind it used as working studio space. It is a short, quieter session on a different side of the city.
I start with a sound check at the shopfront, then step into the courtyard for a closer look, answering questions throughout. A short note on what is currently being made there follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone interested in independent design or a quieter side of Riga. It also pairs well with a Kalnciema Quarter session.

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
