About this tour
This session climbs from the spa quarter up to the Diana lookout tower, following the forest path most visitors reach only by funicular. You see the dense woodland planted above the town, then the view from the tower itself, with the colonnades laid out in the valley below. It is a nature-focused break from the spa buildings themselves.
I keep a brisk pace on the climb since the path does most of the work, then slow down at the top so you can properly take in the view. Questions come naturally once we stop moving. A short note on the best times to catch the view without haze follows afterwards.
This suits anyone who wants to see Karlovy Vary from above rather than only from the colonnade level. It also suits viewers who enjoy a walk with a clear destination.
