About this tour
This session covers both of Düden's waterfalls, the upper falls dropping into a pool and the lower falls where the river meets the sea directly from a clifftop. You see the wide rock shelf of the upper falls first, then the more dramatic drop of the lower falls further along the coast. Together the two stops explain why this river is unusual among the region's waterways.
I open with a sound check at the upper falls, then we move toward the coast while you ask questions about the geology. I try to time the lower falls stop for when a boat passes close by for scale. Afterwards I send a short note on what we saw.
This suits anyone who wants a natural landscape session rather than a historical one. It also suits a traveller deciding whether to see the falls from land or by boat.

Upper Düden Falls 21 min
The camera looks across the river dropping over a wide rock shelf into a pool below. I explain how the water reaches here from an underground source further inland.

You see the second waterfall, where the river drops directly into the sea from a clifftop. I point out the boats that pass close by to see it from the water.
