  • Lubelskie cooking, beyond the classics
  • A short, food-focused look at Lublin

About this tour

This session looks at Lublin's food through cebularz, a savoury onion flatbread found almost nowhere else in Poland, and the market square around it. You see a bakery making the flatbread by hand, then the wider square with stalls and small restaurants nearby. It is a short, food-focused look at a regional speciality.

We start inside the bakery with a short sound check, then move out to the square for the second stop. I explain the history of the flatbread as we go and take questions about what else is worth trying. A short list of dishes follows by message afterwards.

It suits anyone curious about regional Polish food beyond the usual pierogi and kielbasa. It also works well booked before a longer old town session.

Included

  • Live video session with a local guide
  • A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
  • A short list of places and dishes to try later

Not included

  • Food and drinks shown on camera
  • Travel to the city

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Lublin before heading out.

  2. A cebularz bakery 15 min

The camera opens inside a small bakery still making cebularz lubelski by hand, and I explain how the onion flatbread became specific to this one region of Poland.

  3. Market square food stalls 15 min

We move to the market square, and you see stalls and small restaurants serving other Lubelskie dishes alongside the more familiar Polish classics.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Lublin: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Pyzy and Srodmiescie, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • Times are shown in Warsaw time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
