About this tour
This session walks Flingern's street art from a large mural to a row of vintage shops a few streets along. You see the scale of the district's public art and hear how its arts scene and secondhand shops developed alongside each other. It moves through quieter residential streets throughout.
We hold the frame on the mural for a while, since detail rewards a longer look, then walk at an easy pace toward the shops. I explain what I know about specific pieces and take questions about the district as we go. A short list of murals worth knowing follows by message.
It suits anyone who enjoys street art and unpolished, lived-in neighbourhoods. It also works well as a contrast to the more formal K20 or K21 sessions.

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Dusseldorf before heading out.

The camera holds on a large mural covering a full building side, and I explain what I know about the artist and roughly when the piece went up.

A few streets on, you see a row of vintage shops, and I explain how the district's arts scene and its secondhand trade grew up together.
