About this tour
This evening session returns to Finlayson after dark, when the old mill canal turns from a quiet daytime path into the district's busiest stretch of bars. You see the same brick buildings shown in daylight sessions look entirely different lit up at night. I explain how this second life grew up around the district's daytime one.
We move along the canal and into the courtyard at an easy pace, since the atmosphere itself is worth pausing in. I take questions throughout, drawing on evenings working in a bar along this same canal. The session runs later than most of mine, timed to the district at its busiest.
This suits anyone who has already seen Finlayson by day and wants the contrast. It also works for viewers simply curious about a Finnish evening out.

You see the old mill canal lit up for the evening, now lined with bars rather than machinery. I point out which buildings still carry their original factory signage.

The camera reaches the inner courtyard, busier now than during the day, and I explain how the district's evening life grew up once the shops and cinemas closed for the night.
