This session follows the lower slopes of Untersberg, the mountain rising sharply just outside Salzburg. You see the trailhead at the base, a forest path where the terrain shifts quickly even at this lower level, and finally a clearing with the whole city laid out below. It is a session built around scale, showing how small the city looks against the mountain behind it.
I keep a steady hiking pace throughout, since the terrain demands attention even on the easier lower paths. Questions come in as we walk, and I answer them without stopping where the path allows. A short note on the wider mountain range follows once we finish.
This suits anyone who wants Salzburg from a genuine distance rather than only its streets. It also works well early in the morning, when the trail is quietest.
