About this tour

This midday call looks at how Parisians actually use the Luxembourg Gardens on an ordinary weekday, from the open lawns to the shaded Medici Fountain. Chloé explains the unwritten rules locals learn about which patches of grass are open for sitting. The session is less about the garden's history and more about its everyday use.

Chloé starts on the lawns with a short sound check. She walks at a relaxed pace toward the fountain, answering questions about local habits as they arrive, and sends a short note on quieter spots afterwards.

It suits anyone curious about how the city actually lives rather than just how it looks. It also works well for viewers wanting a calmer, more local view of the gardens.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Paris before heading out.

  2. Luxembourg lawns 15 min

The camera crosses the garden's open lawns, and Chloé explains which patches are open for sitting and which are reserved for the flower beds, a distinction locals learn quickly.

  3. Medici Fountain 15 min

At the shaded, ivy-covered fountain, Chloé points out how this quieter corner draws readers and lunch-breakers rather than tourists, especially once the nearby lawns fill up.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Paris: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Crêpes and Le Marais, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Paris time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
