About this tour
This session climbs a wooded hill south of Dublin to a viewpoint often compared to the Bay of Naples, finishing beside a stone obelisk with its own difficult history. You see the path opening up through gorse and trees and the full sweep of Dublin Bay from the top. It moves at a steady uphill pace with plenty of time to take in the view.
After a short sound check at the base of the hill, I climb stop by stop, letting the view develop gradually before explaining the obelisk's origin at the top. I take questions live as they come and send a short note afterwards on the wider Dalkey and Killiney coastline for anyone who wants to explore further.
It suits anyone who wants a proper view over Dublin Bay, and anyone interested in how public monuments sometimes carry a harder history than they first suggest.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
