  • Industrial buildings, reinvented one by one
  • Clausen's beer-making history
  • Luxembourg's liveliest riverside bars
  • One evening, one reinvented district

About this tour

This session covers Clausen, a former brewery district now known for its nightlife, as evening sets in. You see a converted brewery building and hear how the district's beer-making history shaped what it has become, then walk along the riverside bars nearby to see how the industrial buildings have been repurposed one by one. It traces one evening across a genuinely reinvented district.

We start with a sound check by the brewery building, since it can get loud once the evening picks up. I move to the riverside bars for the second stop and take questions about the area's history as we go. A short list of what we covered follows by message afterwards.

It suits anyone curious about Luxembourg's social scene beyond the old town. It also works well as an evening session after a daytime walk through Grund.

Included

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Luxembourg City before heading out.

  2. Clausen brewery building 21 min

The camera takes in a former brewery building now converted into bars, and I explain how the district's beer-making history shaped its current nightlife.

  3. Clausen riverside bars 21 min

We walk to the bars along the Alzette, and I point out how the district's industrial buildings have been repurposed one by one.

  4. Your questions 9 min

Time to ask anything about Luxembourg City: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 4 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Quetschentaart (plum tart) and Clausen, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Luxembourg time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
