- A street built by one community
- Food stalls, described in detail
- A century of Chinese Milan
- The city's liveliest evening street
About this tour
This session covers Via Paolo Sarpi, the street at the centre of Milan's Chinese community. You see the shopfronts selling tea, fabric and homeware, then stop at the street's food stalls, where I describe the dishes on display in detail. It is a street-level look at a community that has shaped this part of Milan for generations.
We start with a sound check partway down the street, since it stays lively into the evening. I move to the food stalls for the second stop and take questions about the street's history or the food itself as we go. A short list of dishes worth trying follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone curious about Milan beyond its more famous streets. It also works well as an early evening session before dinner elsewhere.
Included

- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later

Questions about this tour
What will the session cover?
The guide walks through Milan, showing you Via Paolo Sarpi shopfronts and Paolo Sarpi food stalls live on camera, plus whatever else you would like to see.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
