A walk along the top of the wall
Highlights
- A walk along the top of the wall
- Views over both town and hills
- A layout that shaped centuries of growth
- Lucerne from an elevated, quieter path
- Between two medieval towers
About this tour
This walk follows the ramparts path along the top of the city wall. You see the views over both the old town and the surrounding hills, and the stretch between two of the towers. It stays along the wall's top throughout.
I keep an easy pace along the ramparts, pointing out the views in both directions as we go. Questions about the wall's layout are welcome throughout.
This suits anyone who wants a quieter, elevated view of Lucerne away from the busier streets below. It also works well paired with the tower interior session.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included
- Internet connection
- Travel to the city

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
