- Birdlife along an everyday path

About this tour
This session walks the riverside parkland at Bught, a stretch of open ground that has served the city's recreation for generations. You see a path running alongside sports pitches and a quieter bend in the river further along, reeds lining its edge. Iain explains how this area has stayed largely dedicated to public use since it was set aside.
After a short sound check at the path's start, the walk continues at an easy pace along the river, with time for questions throughout. Iain answers as you go and sends a short note afterwards on the birdlife most commonly seen there.
It suits anyone who wants a calm, local side of Inverness away from the main sights. It also appeals to birdwatchers and those who enjoy riverside walks.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
