This walk moves through two of Annecy's arcaded streets before finishing at a canal crossing with a view up to the castle. You see Rue Sainte-Claire's market bustle and the quieter Rue de l'Île running parallel to it. Romain, who speaks some Italian, points out architectural details shared with towns just across the border.
