The Alcázar walls, seen from the Jardines de Murillo
Highlights
- A free path beside a palace wall
- Centuries of repair in the brick
- Treetops rising over the wall
- A grounds view without a ticket
- A shaded walk, any season
About this tour
This session walks the free public Jardines de Murillo alongside the Alcázar's outer wall, tracing centuries of repair visible in the brickwork before pausing where the ticketed palace gardens show just their treetops above the wall. You get a real sense of the grounds without an entrance fee for anyone watching. The path stays shaded and level throughout.
We start at one end of the garden path with a short check of the light, then walk steadily along the wall, pausing at the treetop view for the longest stretch. I answer questions about the palace's layout as we go and send a short note on the garden's plantings afterward.
This suits travellers deciding whether to pay for the full Alcázar visit, and anyone who enjoys a shaded walk on a hot day. It also works well paired with an earlier cathedral session.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Seville before heading out.
-
The garden path along the wall 21 min
The camera follows a shaded path in the free public Jardines de Murillo, running directly beside the Alcázar's outer wall, and I point out where the brickwork shows different centuries of repair.
-
Treetops over the wall 21 min
You see the tops of palm and orange trees from inside the ticketed Alcázar gardens rising just above the wall, and I describe what the fuller garden looks like from that side.
-
Your questions 9 min
Time to ask anything about Seville: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Gazpacho and Barrio Santa Cruz, worth a slower look.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
