  • A quiet finish to a busy day

About this tour

This session walks Sustipan, a quiet park set on a small headland just past Split's harbour, a short walk most visitors never make. You see the park's shaded paths, once part of an old cemetery before the site became a public garden, and then the view from the headland's edge back over the working harbour. It is one of the calmest spots this close to the old town.

We start on the paths with a sound check, then move to the headland's edge for the second stop, taking questions about the site's history as we go. A short note follows once the session ends.

It suits visitors who want a quiet finish to a busier day in the old town. It also suits an evening booking, when the harbour view is at its calmest.

Included

  • Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Split before heading out.

  2. The park paths 15 min

The camera follows the shaded paths of Sustipan, a small headland park, and I explain how the site was once a cemetery before it became a public garden.

  3. The harbour view 15 min

We reach the edge of the headland, and I show the view back over Split's working harbour and ferry terminal.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Split: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Croatian wine and Varoš, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Zagreb time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
