Uçhisar village lanes on camera
Highlights
- A lane away from the main path
- A garden terraced into the rock
- Worn stone steps at an old doorway
- Homes still lived in today
- A quiet corner of the village
About this tour
This short walk moves through the quieter lanes of Uçhisar village, away from the main path up to the castle. You see a terraced garden cut into the rock, then an old stone doorway leading up to a house still lived in today. The session stays close to this one corner of the village.
I start with a sound check in the lane, then we move slowly while you ask questions about daily life here. I pause at the doorway a little longer, since the worn steps are easy to walk past without noticing. Afterwards I send a short note on what we saw.
This suits anyone who wants a quieter, everyday side of Cappadocia rather than only its landmarks. It also works well alongside a longer session focused on the castle itself.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Cappadocia before heading out.
-
Quiet Village Corner 15 min
The camera follows a lane away from the main path up to the castle. I point out a small vegetable garden built into a terrace cut from the rock.
-
Old Stone Doorway 15 min
You see a doorway with worn stone steps leading up to a house built against the hillside. I explain how many of these homes are still lived in today.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Cappadocia: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Dried fruit and nuts and Göreme, worth a slower look.
Good to know

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
