- A single stall stacked with Reblochon
- Genuine Savoyard cheese, explained
- A short, focused market walk
About this tour
This short session moves through Annecy's old town market, set up along the canal on market mornings, focusing on cheese and local sausage. You see the stalls up close before a longer look at a single cheese stall stacked with Reblochon. Émilie, still fairly new to guiding, explains what makes the local versions distinct from cheese made elsewhere.
The call opens with a sound check by the canal, then moves slowly between stalls as the market gets busier. Émilie answers questions as they come and keeps the frame close on the produce itself. A short list of what you saw follows by message afterwards.
This suits anyone curious about Savoyard food beyond a restaurant menu. It also works well before trying tartiflette or fondue later in the day.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included
- Food and drinks shown on camera
- Travel to the city

The camera moves past stalls of cheese and Savoyard sausage set up along the canal on market mornings. I point out the ingredients that turn up in nearly every regional dish.

-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Diots and Vieille Ville, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
