About this tour
This session walks Montmartre away from Sacré-Coeur, from the Wall of Love at Abbesses to the last working vineyard in Paris and the two surviving windmills on Rue Lepic. You see the Maison Rose and the painters' villas on Avenue Junot. It is Montmartre's village side, quieter than the basilica steps.
The guide opens with a sound check, then walks the hill's quieter streets stop by stop, pointing out details easy to miss on a first visit. Questions come in live, and a short list of the streets follows by message afterwards.
This suits anyone who has done Sacré-Coeur and wants the rest of the hill. It also suits viewers who love a neighbourhood's back streets more than its main square.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 7 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Paris before heading out.
-
Abbesses 21 min
At Abbesses, the camera takes in the Guimard metro entrance, one of the few original Art Nouveau canopies left in Paris. Nearby, the guide points out the Wall of Love, its tiles painted with the phrase 'I love you' in over two hundred languages.
-
Clos Montmartre and Maison Rose 21 min
Walking past the Clos Montmartre, the last working vineyard in Paris, the guide follows Rue de l'Abreuvoir to the Maison Rose, a pink corner house that appears in paintings going back over a century.
-
Rue Lepic windmills 21 min
On Rue Lepic, the camera finds the two surviving windmills, once part of a much larger group that gave Montmartre its skyline. The walk ends on Avenue Junot, past villas once home to the painters who made the hill famous.
-
Your questions 14 min
Time to ask anything about Paris: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 6 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Steak frites and Montmartre, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
