About this tour
This session is a food walk through Bologna's Quadrilatero market streets. The camera moves from a counter of mortadella, prosciutto and aged Parmigiano to a stand serving tigelle filled with squacquerone, then to a shop window where a sfoglina folds tortellini entirely by hand. It ends at a small wine bar pouring Lambrusco and Pignoletto from the surrounding hills.
The sound check comes first, then the walk covers the four stalls and shops in the order they sit along the street, with questions taken as each new food appears rather than saved for later. A shopping list of the stalls shown follows once the call ends.
This suits anyone planning to eat through Bologna and wanting the specific stalls worth stopping at. It also suits anyone who already loves Italian food and wants to watch a sfoglina work up close.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 10 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Bologna before heading out.
-
Cured meat and cheese stall 21 min
The camera moves along a counter stacked with mortadella, prosciutto and Parmigiano aged thirty months, and the guide explains what that extra ageing time actually changes in the cheese.
-
Tigelle stand 21 min
At a stand nearby, the camera follows tigelle and crescentine coming off the griddle, split open and filled with squacquerone, the soft local cheese that melts almost on contact.
-
A sfoglina's shop window 21 min
Through a shop window, the camera watches a sfoglina rolling and folding tortellini entirely by hand, a skill the guide says takes years to get right at that speed.
-
Quadrilatero wine bar 21 min
The walk ends at a small wine bar in the Quadrilatero, where the guide pours a glass of Lambrusco or Pignoletto from the hills and explains which pairs better with tortellini in brodo.
-
Your questions 18 min
Time to ask anything about Bologna: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 8 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Tagliatelle al ragù and Quadrilatero, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
