About this tour

This walk covers Tbilisi's newer creative quarter, from Fabrika's converted factory courtyard to the restored facades of Aghmashenebeli avenue. You see murals painted across the walls of Chugureti, a painted sadarbazo entrance hall from around the 1900s, and small galleries where the guide stops to talk with artists working in their studios. It moves from industrial reuse to street-level decoration along one of the city's changing streets.

The call opens with a sound check at Fabrika, then follows the streets towards Aghmashenebeli avenue, stopping at each mural, hall or studio along the way. Questions come as the walk goes, and a short list of the galleries and studios follows by message afterwards.

This suits anyone interested in how a city's industrial past gets reused rather than knocked down. It also suits those curious about Tbilisi's current art scene beyond its museums.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 7 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Tbilisi before heading out.

  2. Fabrika 21 min

At Fabrika, the camera moves through the courtyard of a former Soviet sewing factory, now filled with small shops, studios and murals painted directly onto its old walls.

  3. A Chugureti sadarbazo 21 min

In Chugureti, the guide steps into a sadarbazo, one of the painted entrance halls built into apartment houses around the 1900s, its ceiling still showing the original decoration.

  4. Aghmashenebeli avenue 21 min

Along Aghmashenebeli avenue, the camera passes restored facades and small galleries, the guide stopping wherever an artist is working in their studio.

  5. Your questions 14 min

Time to ask anything about Tbilisi: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  6. A short list to keep 6 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Khinkali and Old Tbilisi, worth a slower look.

  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
