About this tour

This session walks Zabłocie and Podgórze, the newer, industrial side of Kraków, from murals painted across old factory walls to the MOCAK museum building and Podgórze Market Square. The guide finishes on Krakus Mound as the light changes over the city. It is a look at how a former industrial district turned into a creative one.

The call opens with a sound check, then follows the three stops toward higher ground, timed to reach the mound as the light drops. A short list of galleries and roasters worth a longer visit follows once the call ends.

This suits anyone interested in street art or Kraków's newer neighbourhoods rather than its Old Town. It also suits returning visitors who have already seen the main square.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 7 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Krakow before heading out.

  2. Murals in Zabłocie 21 min

The camera moves past large murals painted across old factory walls in Zabłocie, and the guide points out which international and Polish artists have worked on this stretch.

  3. MOCAK and coffee roasters 21 min

Outside the MOCAK contemporary art museum, built into a former factory, the guide explains how the district's industrial halls have been turned into galleries and coffee roasters.

  4. Podgórze Market Square and Krakus Mound 21 min

The walk finishes at Podgórze Market Square, past the church of St Joseph, and climbs to Krakus Mound as the sun sets over the rooftops of both banks of the river.

  5. Your questions 14 min

Time to ask anything about Krakow: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  6. A short list to keep 6 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Zapiekanka and Kazimierz, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Warsaw time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
