About this tour
This session follows the Medici family's rise and its darker moments through central Florence, from Palazzo Medici Riccardi to the cathedral steps and Piazza della Signoria. You see the stone palace the family built, the spot of the Pazzi conspiracy at the cathedral, and the square where Savonarola met his end. The walk keeps to a few streets of the old political heart of the city.
After a short sound check, the guide walks the route point by point, holding up copies of original letters and pausing at each site for your questions. A short list of names and dates follows by message once the call ends.
This suits anyone drawn to Renaissance intrigue more than gallery visits, whether you know the Medici story already or are hearing it for the first time.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
