Ádám Varga

I have hiked the Mecsek hills above Pécs since childhood, and the ruined summer palace at Tettye is still where I start most of my sessions. I show what remains of the bishop's old retreat and then climb further up toward the viewing tower, explaining how the hills shape the city's noticeably milder climate. I keep an easy, unhurried pace on the climb and enjoy questions from anyone who hikes themselves. The view from the top rarely disappoints, even to guests who have seen plenty of hillside towns before.
