Adnan Bešić

I walk Ferhadija Street most days on the way to work, right past the small marker set into the pavement marking where the city's Ottoman quarter meets its Austro-Hungarian one. On camera I show that exact spot before continuing east or west depending on the session, and in the evenings I switch to the old bars a few streets over once they properly fill up. Both sides of Sarajevo, the marker and the nightlife, say something true about how layered this city actually is. Six years of covering both keeps my work usefully varied.
