I trained as a silversmith in the Claddagh tradition before moving into guiding, so the ring's history and the old fishing village it comes from are subjects I know from actual craft rather than a script. On camera I like showing the Spanish Arch and the Long Walk's coloured houses alongside the quieter Claddagh streets nearby, since the two sit closer together than most visitors realise. Three years of guiding has taught me to let people ask about the craft itself, since that is usually what draws them to book in the first place. I always answer properly rather than rushing to the next stop.
