I tended bar in the old town for years before I started filming it instead, so I know which streets fill up first once evening starts and which stay quiet until much later. My sessions usually begin while a street is still fairly empty and end once the first terraces are properly busy, since that shift is worth showing rather than just describing. I keep the camera at street level, following the light from windows and doorways rather than looking for anything dramatic. I leave the last part of the session open for questions about the old town at night.
