I have lived in Trastevere for over a decade, and I know exactly which corner of Piazza di Santa Maria fills up first once the evening starts, which is where I usually begin a call after dark. Inside the church itself I hold on the golden mosaics longer than most visitors do, since the light in there changes how they read depending on the hour. From the Gianicolo above, I like showing the whole neighbourhood laid out below before turning the phone toward the wider view of Rome across the river.
