Alessia Ferraro

I trained as a guide specifically to explain Brunelleschi's dome, and it is where every one of my sessions begins, camera tilted up to show the herringbone brick pattern that let the structure support its own weight without wooden scaffolding inside. I explain why no one in Florence knew exactly how to build it when the competition to design it was announced. I keep my shots steady and let the dome fill most of the frame, since scale is the whole point here. I try to answer engineering questions properly rather than simplifying them for the sake of pace.
