I run most mornings along the Lungomare, so I know exactly where the promenade catches the best early light and where it gets busy later on. On camera I keep the phone low and moving at a walking pace, since the sea and the curve of the seafront are the whole point rather than any single building along it. In the evenings I sometimes take a call from near the San Cataldo lighthouse instead, describing the sunset as it happens, because a still photograph never quite gets the colour right.
