My family has made and sold swords in this city for three generations, though I spend more time now explaining the craft than practising it myself. On camera I walk the old town's steel shops and workshops, showing the etching and damascening techniques that made Toledo famous long before tourism did. I studied history alongside the family trade, so I can place the craft in its wider context rather than treating it as a curiosity. I keep the pace slow enough that you can actually see the detail in a blade or a hilt rather than a quick glance.
