I trained as a tour guide inside the Royal Palace itself for six years before this platform existed, so the exterior and courtyards are ground I know properly. On camera I cannot take you through the state rooms, so I focus on what the building tells you from outside, the scale of the facade, the guard change in the square, the older streets around it. I grew up two metro stops from Plaza Mayor and my grandmother used to bring me to the market there on Sundays. I speak slowly and plainly on the call, since a lot of what I explain depends on architecture rather than a story.
