Andre Goncalves

I sang in the choir at Estrela Basilica as a teenager, so the building and the garden beside it are tied up with a big part of my childhood rather than being just another stop on a map. On camera I show the dome and the terrace views first, then take calls separately for people who want to plan an afternoon around the garden's ponds and peacocks without a full walking session. I answer those calls with the same detail I would give while walking, just without the walk itself. Nine years of guiding later, that dome still catches me off guard some mornings.
