I studied Bulgarian Revival architecture and the Ethnographic Museum's building, a merchant's house from the nineteenth century, is still the one I most enjoy showing, since its wooden ceilings and painted rooms represent the wealthiest style of the period. On camera I move around the courtyard and exterior, describing the rooms inside the camera cannot enter during opening hours. I keep a warm, informative pace and welcome questions about the merchant families who built houses like this. Video suits a Revival-era courtyard well, since the camera can hold the building's carved woodwork in frame for longer than a passing glance allows.
