I worked at Berlin Zoo for several years before I began guiding, and I still know the daily routines of a few of its best-known residents better than most visitors get to see. On camera I move at an easy pace between enclosures, focusing on the design of the habitats and a little of the zoo's long history as Germany's oldest, founded in the nineteenth century. I also run a quieter morning session focused mainly on the giant pandas, since they draw a steady stream of questions on their own. I keep things fairly brief and practical and let the animals carry most of the session.
