Antioco Melis

I grew up a short walk from Poetto beach and have watched the wetlands beside it change from a quiet, overlooked corner of the city into a protected home for flamingos. On camera I walk the long stretch of sand first, then move to the edge of the saltpans, where the birds gather in numbers that still surprise most visitors. I studied environmental science and volunteer with a local conservation group, so questions about the wetlands come naturally to me. I keep my sessions calm and unhurried, since both places reward a slower pace.
