I worked for several years on the grounds team at Schloss Eggenberg before moving into guiding full time. On camera I show the palace's symmetrical facade, counting toward its total of three hundred and sixty five windows, one for each day of the year, and explain how the whole building was designed around ideas about the calendar and the planets. I keep a steady, careful pace through the grounds and answer detailed questions about the design whenever they come up, since the symbolism runs deeper than most visitors expect.
