I have worked as a gardener in Yıldız Park for years, which is honestly how I ended up guiding, since visitors kept assuming I already worked in tourism. I focus on Yıldız Park's pavilions and the smaller garden at Ihlamur Kasrı nearby, two Ottoman-era retreats that get far less attention than the main palaces. On camera I like walking through the planting itself rather than only the buildings, since I know these gardens better than most guides ever will. I answer most questions about the plants as readily as the architecture.
