I trained as a sculptor before guiding, so the Little Mermaid statue still interests me more as an object than as a photo opportunity. On camera I walk the harbourfront path toward the statue, explaining how Hans Christian Andersen's tale inspired its commission and why its scale surprises most first-time visitors. I continue along the water past the newer harbour developments, comparing the old shoreline to what has been built since. I keep commentary steady rather than stopping too long at any one point. Filming this stretch works best as a continuous walk rather than a single fixed shot.
