I have guided at Den Gamle By for over a decade, long enough to have watched several of its relocated buildings get restored more than once. On camera I walk between houses moved here from towns across Denmark, pointing out which centuries each represents and how the museum arranges them almost like a walk through time. I explain the craft demonstrations that still run in some of the workshops. I keep my pace slow between buildings, since each one holds enough detail for its own short stop. Filming an open-air museum like this works best moving building to building rather than trying to cover the whole site at once.
